The Most Attractive Managers in the Premier League and Championship League
I feel like I am doing a disservice to all women football fans out there... but, I am not. I am putting a twist on this article. I am flipping things on it's head.
I saw someone post a poll about who the hottest manager is in the Premier League this season (2024/25) on social media somewhere. Made me laugh. Seeing the option I only picked about four of them. Then I felt awful and superficial about picking out who is the sexist. Then I realize men do this all the time to women. It then made me feel more human. Both sexes have to be sexually attracted to one another to reproduce. It’s apart of survival—and fun—I mean we don’t have to be worried being chased down by an animal of prey hunting us. Last time that happened was millions of years ago—not a worry in the western world today in 2025.
Now in the world of 2025 women get told that we like certain footballers, athletes, or famous men because we find them sexy. Yes, that is apart of it. But however, there are things that draw us to be attracted to them. Like their talent, their personality, outlook on life, and more things that are not superficial—and sometimes it might just be the only thing, that we just find them sexy.
I decided to make a list of my own that includes some Premier League managers and the English Football League’s Championship League managers this season (2024-25). There are people on this list that won’t surprise a few of you who know me well—or who might surprise you depending on how closely you know me. There are managers on the list that I have heard others talk about how good looking they are; which I Googled and was floored by their attractiveness. Also, some managers appear here because I just can’t help it to find them attractive with no reasoning.
If the Premier League and Championship League was all women—instead of men wanting to be the footballers out there. They would be judging them on their sexiness and not their talent. Stats wouldn’t be mentioned. It would be about who had the most biggest boobs or the sexiest ass. If Erling Haaland was a woman the men would not be talking about how talented he is and his stats—they would be talking about how much they find Haaland sexy and degrade him as a woman.
I am sure they would talk about all the football managers differently if they were all women too. None of the tactics would be talked about—it’s who would looks sexier. By the time a manager would hit a certain age; they would want them out and a young twenty-something with perky boobs to take their place.
So, no I don’t feel bad for talking about the ones I find sexy. I am not going to be degrading them. I would never do that. There is talent there that is noticed by me—and hopefully others out there. I watch how they handle their respective club. How are they are as a person. How tactical they are during matches. How they handle the season—Mikel Arteta is pretty confident that Arsenal Football Club could win the UEFA Champions League this season. How they bounce back from setbacks as managers. Shows how strong they can be as a person; that they have learned from their lessons.
So here is my little list:
Mikel Arteta (Arsenal - Premier League): He played for Everton. I think he—himself playing for Everton got me hooked in 2010.1 Arteta is very passionate during interviews. It’s interesting how he handles the media at times. I notice when he has enough of them sometimes. During interviews I am waiting for him to unexpectedly jump into Spanish during answering a question during a Premier League or an UEFA Champions League interview.
Watching him on the touchline is very interesting. Arteta will rarely stay in his box and will run up and down the touchline along with his players shouting instructions. It is interesting watching him standing there with the wheels turning in his head about what is happening during the match. Would love to hear how his mind works tactically.
Thomas Frank (Brentford - Premier League): This goes back to the 2024 Euros. I think there was a podcast recording that was happening with Gary Linker and Micah Richards where they all were drinking some kind of red wine—some video making the rounds on social media. It was just seeing Frank relaxed in that environment just made me think about him differently. Thought of differently ever sense. Was even more stranger like seeing a teacher who is in school then out in the world kind of feeling—which made it more hotter.
Frank Lampard (Coventry City - EFL Championship League): For some of those who know me this is not a shocker he appears here. Lampard might not be everyone’s favorite—however, then this article in not for you. I might write a novel here about him. Doesn’t matter that Harry Redknapp2 is his uncle. This is also why he is not on this list. Lampard is on here due to his own merit. Would be another one on the list I would talk about tactics with (Arteta and Howe are the other two).
Lampard was good in his playing career. As in his managerial career; he’s just finding his footing. He’s only human. Mostly, why people men are jealous of him because they want his life. Living, working, and breathing football twenty-four/seven. I have a feeling Lampard will be doing stuff with football until I think the day he dies.
I love watching him on the touchline. If you look close enough you can see the wheels spin in his head. I also like when Lampard gets riled up on the touchline. It can be anything from what the squad is doing, a referee is doing, and/or from the other club that his club is facing is affecting his game plan. Just something about a flustered and/or stressed out Lampard makes me fall harder for him.
Pep Guardiola (Manchester City - Premier League): I am not one to find men who have bald heads sexy, but something about Pep—he somehow managed to get on this list.3 It might be his personality. How he is as a human. I am sure most of the straight Manchester City supporters men find him sexy too. Something about how good he is at being a football manager. He is apparently single (is he still?)… well, Ethan, my Man City supporter friend—I think I have a better chance at scoring a date with him, then you would.
Danny Röhl (Sheffield Wednesday - EFL Championship League): I heard things about Sheffield Wednesday having a young manager. My friend Hollie, who is a Owls supporter. I listened to her podcast The Wednesday Week where they were talking about something involving female fans. Which he was mentioned. They all started giggling about—this is when I think the Google search happened.
I will sometimes tune into the podcast here or there—just to see how the Owls are doing. One of these episodes Röhl was brought up. Something about this young gaffer in his thirties. It made my ears pop up. An actual manager around my age—a few months or a year older than me. Then I saw what he looked like. I can see why Hollie and her fellow female supporter friends where swooning—I was swooning too.
Eddie Howe (Newcastle United - Premier League): He won the EFL (or the Carabao Cup) with Newcastle this year. Eleven years since a non major club (Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea) won it. Also ended a 56 year drought since they won any major trophies. Feels like a win for any club that has no connection to the “Super 6” clubs. Howe is consider one of the greatest English managers since Harry Redknapp.
The fact that he is a good manager (with some good tactical-ness), and I do really enjoy watching him on the sidelines like Arteta and Lampard—are the things I find sexy about him. Also because he is so down to earth too. He’s an Everton supporter too—that also really helps!
These memories working at Disney are kind of dusty. Might have also started to mold together. Arteta might have been there or not been there—he left Everton in 2011. The people I remember I might have misplaced when certain friends I had at Disney where there or not (and when they where).
Jamie Redknapp being his cousin, however, that is a different story. In different ways—because he looks good and knows football—may or may not know football.
Thierry Henry is on there too. (I might or might not do my list of sexy football pundits.) That French accent, gets me every time.
Also add in Tim Howard. That beard. He played for Everton. Enough said. (Only three men in the football world who are bald I find sexy.)
I had the pleasure and privilege of meeting Eddie Howe not once but twice and had lunch with him, and I can tell you not only is he good looking but an all round wonderful human being too, easy to talk to and no airs or graces about him. Also superb manager who did fantastic stuff with Bournemouth taking them into the Premier League, long live King Eddie
